and yea.think i gotta start being familiar wit some of their accent.i recently this british lad came up to me wen i was working.

slenge me: "err.sorry sir?"

lad: "theyou goise aiv eeektots?"

slenge me: "ermm..."

lad: (looking at me like im some dumb tub of lard) "eeektots.eeektots."

after a few secs of silence and frowning.(from me of course)...

slenge me: "ouh eggtarts!!!! ya.we do have eggtarts sir"(pointing towards it)

lad:" hmm.yea." (frowned towards eggtarts for 5 sec and then walked off)

slenge me: (lame face)

that was one of many.

after being a cashier for quite some time, u will tend to say stuff like

"your total is five thirty($5.30) sir".

instead of.

"your total is five dollars thirty cents sir".

which means the exact same thing to us.

well.

apparently not to them.

me: "your total is 10.40 sir".

american guy(need i add,wit a filipino gurlfren): "10.40?!?!"

me: "yes sir".

american guy: "nono.its ony 8.30!!!"(pointing furiously at his watch)

me: (restraining the need to pull a lame face) "no sir.i mean ur total is $10.40cents"

american guy: "ouh.i thought...."(mumbling to himself)
